Deconstructed Coronation Quiche – May '23

Dear FJ,

Well someone who has never cooked a quiche in her life put up her hand to cook the coronation quiche for the King's coronation on May 6, to be proudly shared with parents, siblings, kids and dogs.

Despite buying premade pastry, there was a small issue with getting the pie out of the pan. And then there was that other issue, of not being able to break the rock hard pastry with one's teeth.

However, I  (yes that someone was me) was prepared!

Knowing it might not be perfect first time, I had a few hours to spare before the King appeared. Time enough to start over. This time, using the same recipe, but creating quaint individually-sized quiches. One for everyone and they looked amazing, despite also being inedible.

Sometimes, failing is telling you something. This failure said: "Baking is not your thing AK".
